Visit our Snack Stand for cold drinks, hot chocolate, coffee, specialty coffees, hot cider, "marching" tacos, nachos, burgers, buffalo chicken, chicken sandwiches, baked potatoes, sweet treats and much more!
During the 2021 season, we will have a smaller menu due to ongoing concerns with COVID-19 and safety.
Our Fry Tent, located to the right of our snack stand, offers fresh cut french fries, pierogies, fried oreos, funnel cakes and more. Our volunteers are always coming up with ideas for tasty treats in our fry tent.
Our Fry Tent will offer a smaller selection of items during the 2021 season.
The Merchandise Tents sells fan gear and essentials for surviving the evening weather under Friday Night Lights. We have hand warmers, rain ponchos and stadium blankets. We also carry the Marching Band show t-shirt for each season! Come visit us for cow bells, water bottles and other specialty items to make your stadium experience more fun!
The Snack Stand was planned, designed, funded and built by the Saucon Valley Music Connection in 2008. The SVMC officers, parents, students, alumni, volunteers, and local businesses worked together to fundraise and find sponsors to build the Bando Snack Shack.
The Snack Stand has become a vital resource in growing the finances of the SVMC organization. The profit from the operation of the snack stand during home varsity football games is the biggest source of revenue for our organization each year.
To support our efforts, many local businesses offered their support through donations of time and materials.
While the Saucon Valley School District did not provide financial support for the construction of the stand, it did select the physical location of the stand inside of the Montford Illick High School Stadium. The district also approved the plans for construction. All construction, permits, licenses, services and inspections were procured and funded by SVMC members and volunteers.
SVMC volunteers manage and operate the Snack Stand located near the main entrance of the stadium. Profits from the Snack Stand go to the SVMC General Fund. Each family with a student in the music program is asked to cover one shift in the snack shack per season. If a family is not able to cover a shift, a buy-out option is available. For questions, contact email@example.com. Admission to the stadium is free for our volunteers.
High school music students can also earn money toward their Individual SVMC accounts
by volunteering in the Snack Stand. This excludes marching band students as they are needed in the stands. However, choral and other music students are welcome to participate.
The success of the snack stand is dependent on volunteers every football season!
